Cameron Diaz has admitted that she burst into tears when she had all her hair chopped off earlier this year - mainly because it was an accident.

The actress told Jay Leno that she didn't want short hair but her friend got a little carried away with the scissors, leaving her with a blonde bob instead of her usually lengthy locks.

She said: "It was one of those moments where I just couldnt I just burst into tears. It was the night before she was leaving to go away for Christmas with her family.

"It was 10 o'clock at night and we were running around just trying to get in the haircut [and] there was a little misunderstanding.

"I said I just wanted a little bit cut off and it went from here to here. I felt so vulnerable. For a woman to all of a sudden have no hair ... Oh my God!"

And it didn't take long for Cameron Diaz AND her pal to both start crying when they realised how much of Cameron's hair was gone.

She added: "I yelled at her, I screamed at her. No, she felt really bad. I felt really bad. She started crying. I started crying."

It's OK, Cameron, we understa! nd.
