Cameron Diaz Says Every Woman Wants To Be Objectified, Study Shows She May Be Right

Image
Posted: November 29, 2012 Cameron Diaz thinks that every woman like to be objectified. While this may raise the eyebrows for more than a few women across the globe, a study published in Psychology Today may prove the 40-year-old actress right. Researchers began by explaining a term called self-objectification. This is what Psychology Today presumes Diaz was referring to when she talks about stripping for photographers: Im not some young girl with the photographer going, Will you take your clothes off? Im like [mimes stripping], How does this look? Theyre like, Today were not going to put anything other than bras and heels on you, and Im like, These heels are not high enough. Self-objectification centers on how one internalizes objectification to effect how a women views herself. For example, she begins to look at herself the way she imagines other people are looking at her. Researchers interested in finding out how everyday experiences of self-objectification gave a group of female...

Review: Gambit, Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz in an art caper

Oh dear. This remake of a 1966 Michael Caine art-forgery caper comes with a prestige cast and a screenplay by the Coen Brothers and it's still hand-across-the-brow terrible. The Pink Pantherish credit sequence that gives away the plot is an early warning sign. Colin Firth plays an art expert who recruits a forger (Tom Courtenay) and a Texan rodeo-girl (Cameron Diaz) in a scheme to rip off his obnoxious billionaire employer (Alan Rickman). The gimmick of the film is to run the plot twice, first as a fantasy in which the scam proceeds without a hitch, second as the hilarious bungle it turns out to be. Except that it's not at all hilarious, unless you savour the Coens' faux-British pedantry ("her invigorating lack of decorum would have enraptured my younger self") or the spectacle of Colin Firth edging along a hotel parapet without his trousers. And the combination of American sass and British cool is a total washout: Cameron Diaz doing karaoke is about as much fun ...

Might be treading on eggshells there a bit Diaz Speaking about getting her own kit off, the Gambit actress said she actually quite enjoys it. "It's empowering, I'm not some young girl with the photographer going, 'Will you take your clothes off?' I'm like [mimes stripping], 'How does this look?''" She added, "[The stylists are] like, 'Today we're not going to put anything other than bras and heels on you, and I'm like, 'These heels are not high enough.'" FILM YOU NEED TO WATCH: Cameron Diaz and Colin Firth star in Gambit

Image
What's the film about? The film follows private art curator (Colin Firth) who comes up with rather clever scheme to con England's richest art collector Lionel Shabandar (Alan Rickman) into buying a fake Monet painting. In order for the plan to work he has to team up with Texas rodeo queen ( Cameron Diaz ) to pose as a woman whose grandfather got the painting at the end of WWII. Who's in it? Cameron Diaz, Colin Firth, Alan Rickman Handbag hearts: This is such a fun, silly film. All three of the main stars in this flick have proven that they can do serious but now we see just how well they can do comedy. Naturally Cameron Diaz is no stranger to a funny flick but she is even better when paired with the likes of Colin Firth and Alan Rickman. The guys are equally as funny in their roles which have been brilliantly revisioned by the Coen Brothers. Those guys can do no wrong! From the hilarity of a naked Alan Rickman, to the sillyness of Colin Firth climbing around outside the ho...

PHOTOS: Cameron's sexy leg-baring style The Bad Teacher star doesn't even mind stripping down to her underwear for photo shoots, as she did for a recent Terry Richardson spread in the November issue of Esquire UK. Cameron Diaz to star in The Other Woman female revenge comedy

Image
November 14, 2012 - 17:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Cameron Diaz is attached to star in the female revenge comedy The Other Woman for Fox, TheWrap reported. The film, with a script by Melissa Stack, is about a woman who finds out she is the other woman in a love triangle. She meets up with the wife in order to conspire and get revenge against the husband. Kristen Wiig is also under consideration for a role in the film, the representative for Diaz said. The high-concept story is in the vein of "The First Wives Club," but with a younger skew. Julie Yorn is producing through her LBI Prods. banner, while Daria Cercek will oversee the project for the studio. Stack ("I Want to F--- Your Sister") is a Black List alumni. Cameron Diaz Set For The Other Woman

Image
It appears Cameron Diaz will be getting into devious plotting mode for a future comedy. Shes now attached to star in revenge pic The Other Woman , which is also eyeing Kristen Wiig for one of the other leads. Written by Melissa Stack, the script finds a woman (most likely Diaz) discovering that shes actually the third person in a love triangle. But instead of the usual recriminations, she decides to team up with the wronged wife to dish out a little vengeance on the cheating husband. The Wraps story doesnt specify either role, but we figure Wiig would make for a good partner-in-revenge for Diaz. Described as in the vein of 1996s The First Wives Club , which saw the likes of Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Diane Keaton getting their own back on philandering hubbies, the new film is currently making its way through development and hunting down a director. Diaz was last seen in What To Expect When Youre Expecting . Next for her is Gambit (due November 21)and providing one of the voices in A...
