Cameron Diaz admires dressmakers

Cameron Diaz is in awe of seamstresses.

The Hollywood icon attended Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week for the first time this year. She felt extremely lucky when she was invited to meet the women who make the gowns at Valentinos atelier.

The women were so sweet and excited about what they do. Each gown requires hundreds of hours of work. I told them through a translator how in awe of them I was, she told the latest edition of UK InStyle.

Cameron had just as good a time at the Christian Dior show, where she was wowed by the pieces which came down the runway. The blonde beauty was taken aback by the fine detail that goes into each creation.

Seeing the pieces up close like that was stunning. You could see what looked like a print was actually embroidery. When the model turned the corner, her gown swept my feet! she remarked.

Cameron also enjoyed meeting Karl Lagerfeld, who is the creative director of Chanel. She has always been a big fan of his work.

When I was 18 and modelling in Paris, I saw Karl Lagerfeld in a crowd of people and was like, Oh my God! And here I am, 20 years later, meeting him for the first time, she said.
